There are multiple reports of guns being drawn on the House floor shots fired inside the House chamber.
The spotlight has been turned on President Trump to make a statement to quell the violent mob. At 3:13 PM Trump sent out a tweet asking for calm. “I am asking for everyone at the U.S. Capitol to remain peaceful. No violence! Remember, WE are the Party of Law & Order – respect the Law and our great men and women in Blue. Thank you!”
Estimates of the crowd who had gathered for the protest before it escalated into chaos was upwards of 150,000.
